Dealing with fire damage is incredibly stressful, so knowing what to expect from the emergency restoration process can really help ease your mind. At First To Respond Restoration, our process is designed to be thorough and efficient, getting you back on your feet as quickly as possible.
- Step 1: Emergency Contact & Assessment. The very first thing you should do is call us. We're available 24/7 for emergencies. We’ll dispatch a team to your property for an initial assessment to understand the extent of the fire, smoke, and water damage. This helps us create a detailed plan and estimate.
- Step 2: Property Stabilization. We’ll focus on making your property safe and secure. This often includes board-up services for compromised windows and doors, tarping damaged roofs, and shoring up any unstable structures to prevent further damage from the elements or unauthorized entry.
- Step 3: Water Removal & Drying. If water was used to extinguish the fire, we’ll quickly remove standing water and begin specialized drying processes to prevent secondary damage like mold growth and further structural issues.
- Step 4: Soot & Smoke Removal. This involves specialized techniques to remove corrosive soot and ash from all surfaces and air ducts, followed by professional deodorization to eliminate lingering smoke odors completely.
- Step 5: Cleaning & Restoration. We then meticulously clean and sanitize salvageable items and surfaces, and proceed with any necessary repairs, from minor fixes to major structural reconstruction, restoring your property to its pre-fire condition. Throughout this process, we work closely with you and your insurance company to ensure a smooth recovery. If you’re facing fire damage, let us guide you through every step of the restoration.
